Zeus, the father of Gods was born in this cave. You are in the actual mythical birthplace of the king of gods and this is a fact supported by many ancient findings in the cave from ceremonies that were held by the Minoans few thousand years back. The cave is famous also for the breathtaking stalactites and stalagmites.  

See how traditional products of Crete (olive oil, wine, raki, and ceramics) are made. Our visit to a functioning Ceramics workshop will show you how this art has survived through the ages to our modern time.  

The Kera monastery is a historical place of about 1200 years old and it's very famous in Crete. Its contribution towards the fights against the Turks was quite important and this resulted in its destruction few times. In our days its a peaceful woman monastery located among lots of green, between amazing natural surroundings.
