Explore Eastern Lapland's rich cultural and natural heritage across three distinct stops: the meticulously preserved village of Suvanto (a WWII survivor with Europa Nostra recognition), the scenic Pyhäjärvi area bordering Pyhä-Luosto National Park, and the Naava Nature Heritage Center with its geological and cultural exhibitions. This 3.5-hour guided tour combines architecture, history, and landscape in one immersive journey.
Suvanto is perhaps the most famous village in Lapland. Its architecture and atmosphere with the amazing landscape are great experiences around the year. Suvanto has been survived from being destroyed during world war II. This village has got Europa Nostra price and it was also on the list of UNESCO World Heritage.
The next village is Pyhäjärvi where you can see one of the most beautiful sceneries around the Pyhä - Luosto national park. After this, we will continue our tour up to Pyhätunturi and then to the Visitor Centre Naava. You will see an interesting exhibition and learn a lot about geology, natural- and cultural history.
