Adventure activities release endorphins, creating lasting positive memories.
Rådhuspladsen is the meeting point, with Copenhagen City Hall on one side and the entrance to Tivoli Gardens a short walk away. From the square the trail follows Strøget east and then turns off towards Christiansborg Slot and the Rundetårn. It is a self-guided detective game, played at walking pace with a phone in hand.
The centre of Copenhagen is flat and easy to cover on foot, which makes this suitable for families with children, couples, friends and office teams, and it can be played solo. One ticket covers up to four people sharing a phone; if there are more of you, take another ticket and run two teams against each other. No guide is involved and no time slot is booked, so the busy stretch of Strøget can be timed for a quieter hour.
Four steps get you from booking to the first clue.
The case is the murder of Balthasar. Coded messages have to be unpicked, photographs taken at set points, and the accounts of digital characters checked against one another. Between the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek and the paths of Ørstedsparken the contradictions start to show, and the inner streets of Copenhagen are where the pieces finally line up.
Running two or more teams at once turns it into a competition, which is what makes it work for teambuilding as much as for a family afternoon. Stop when you feel like it, start again later, and finish the case in Copenhagen whenever it suits you.
