About this activity

Combine an adrenaline rush with natural wonder on this 7-hour Cluj adventure: zip line 600m across Transylvania's longest cable at 100 km/h, then hike nearly 3 km through the dramatic Turda Gorge with 300m limestone walls and hidden caves. Perfect for thrill-seekers who also want to experience one of Romania's most spectacular geological formations.

Embark on an exhilarating adventure for nature enthusiasts and adrenaline seekers with our captivating tour!

Commencing at 10:00 am, our journey begins by whisking you away from your Cluj-Napoca accommodation to the stunning Turda Gorge.

The excitement kicks in as we navigate through the landscape using a zipline, soaring towards the canyon's heart. Brace yourself for an adrenaline rush as you traverse the Longest Zip Line in Transylvania, covering an impressive 600m at a thrilling speed of 100 km/h. Experience a 100m level difference, creating an unforgettable ride. For individuals exceeding 75 Kg (165 LB), a parachute is provided to ensure a controlled descent without surpassing the designated speed.

Following the zipline adventure, we transition into a captivating hiking experience through the enchanting Turda Gorge. Stretching nearly 3 km, this geological wonder boasts 300m-high walls sculpted in weathered limestone. The landscape unfolds into a wild karst panorama, featuring towering cliffs, steep ridges, rock towers, walking paths, climbing routes, hiking trails, and an array of caves, most of them petite in size. Turda Gorge accommodates tourists of all ages, offering an accessible footpath, a gentle river, a scenic canyon, caves, climbing rocks, and much more.

Covering a distance of 9 km over a moving time of 3 hours, the hike involves an elevation gain and loss of 339m, with a maximum elevation of 751m at Strana.

As the day winds down, we'll transport you back to your Cluj-Napoca accommodation, concluding this unforgettable nature and adrenaline-filled escapade.

  • Pack water and snacks; while the hike is well-marked, there are no shops inside the gorge itself.
