Explore Reykjavik's most iconic landmarks in a single 3-hour guided tour, visiting historic sites, architectural gems, and panoramic viewpoints that showcase Iceland's capital. This curated itinerary combines cultural significance with striking natural backdrops, offering context and access that enhance your understanding of the city.
Join us as we visit the most famous sites around Iceland´s capital. Our tour will include stops at the viking boat Solfar, or the Sun Voyager, set against the impressive backdrop of Mount Esja and then at the Höfði house, known as the site of the 1986 Reykjavik Summit where Ronald Reagan met with Mikhail Gorbachev as a step to end the Cold War.
We will also visit Harpa, Reykjavik's beautiful concert hall and conference center known for its unique architecture and colored glass windows shaped to mimic the basaltic formations found throughout Iceland. The tour would not be complete without a visit to Reykjavik's emblematic Hallgrimskirkja, the 74,5 meter tall Lutheran church that can be seen from many points near and far around the city. And finally, we will stop into Perlan, the museum and rotating glass dome overlooking the city from Öskjuhlíð Hill and built around six giant water tanks that can store up to 24 million liters of water.
We'll pick you up at your accommodation or bus stop, or you can meet us directly at the church: Hallgrímskirkja (Hallgrímstorg 101, 101 Reykjavík) when the activity starts!
And when we finally have to part ways, tour participants are free to continue exploring the city from the final stop if they do not want to return to their hotels at the end of the tour.
Visit during daylight hours; summer (May–September) offers extended daylight for better photography and comfortable walking conditions. Winter visits are possible but require extra layers and planning around shorter daylight hours.
