Perlan has a free shuttle bus from Harpa music hall, every 30 minutes from 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM.
It takes 20-40 minutes to walk from downtown Reykjavík to Perlan. It takes 5-10 minutes to drive from downtown Reykjavík to Perlan.
Perlan offers all visitors free parking. Strætó, the Icelandic public transport company operates numerous city buses in Reykjavík. Line 18 stops the closest to Perlan.
Visit in summer (June–August) for longer daylight hours and fuller appreciation of both city and nature, though the museum's indoor ice cave is equally impressive year-round. Morning departures (10 AM onwards) align with shuttle schedules and offer the best museum experience before afternoon crowds build.
