Most PopularMarseille Self-Guided Audio Tour
This fascinating audio tour meanders through the old and new parts of the ancient city of Marseille...

Learn traditional Japanese bookbinding techniques at El Brote workshop in Marseille's historic Vieux Port, where you'll craft your own handstitched notebook from scratch. This hands-on 3-hour session combines heritage craftsmanship with creative freedom, ending with free time to explore the charming cobbled streets nearby.
You are invited to visit the El Brote workshop where the experience will take place. Before we begin we will talk about the basic principles of binding, materials, and tool functionality. Then you would be invited to choose the handmade paper for the cover of your notebook, as well as the color of the yarn and other details. You will be accompanied throughout your DIY experience to result in a beautiful Japanese technical notebook made by yourself. At the end of the workshop, you will be able to walk on your own around the Vieux Port or "Le Panier" district. The workshop is suitable for children who are used to handling scissors and must be accompanied by an adult.
Mornings (9–11am starts) are ideal to avoid afternoon crowds and leave energy for exploring Le Panier. Visit April–June or September–October for pleasant weather without peak summer tourist congestion.
