About this activity

Escape Lisbon for a curated day exploring the dramatic Arrábida Peninsula, combining coastal scenery, hilltop fortifications, and a guided tour of Portugal's historic José Maria de Fonseca winery with wine tasting. This 8-hour excursion balances natural beauty with cultural immersion and local gastronomy.

Come and visit one of the most beautiful markets in Europe. Then we climbed to the highest point of Setúbal, the fort of São Filipe where we glimpse the magnificent view.
Departure for the Serra da Arrábida dazzle with the view of Portinho da Arrábida beach and the Portuguese Blue Coast.
We will stop at a traditional restaurant (optional).
Our last destination is the José Maria de Fonseca house where we will take a guided tour followed by Moscatel and Piriquita wine tasting.

Highlights

  • Panoramic views from Forte de São Filipe overlooking Setúbal and the Tagus estuary
  • Scenic drive through Serra da Arrábida with stops at Portinho da Arrábida beach
  • Guided tour and tasting at José Maria de Fonseca, a centuries-old Portuguese winery
  • Sample Moscatel and Piriquita wines in their original production setting
  • Optional stop at a traditional local restaurant for authentic regional cuisine
