Description

Entering on the south slope of the Acropolis, you’ll visit the Dionysus Sanctuary and Dionysus Theater before you walk up the slope leading to the Acropolis monuments. The panoramic views of the city will be perfect for Instagram-ready photos.

During your tour, you’ll gain insight into the significance of the historic monuments of Acropolis, including the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, the Propylaea, the Nike Temple as well as other significant sights of Athens including the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Ancient Agora, the National Observatory of Athens and the city’s scenic hills: Filoppapos, Mars, and Pnyx.

NOTE: After the first part of the tour, which ends on the Acropolis at approximately 13:00 (1:00 pm), you may take more photos before meeting for the Acropolis Museum Tour. During this time, you may get a snack or a drink before the guided tour starts at the museum at approximately 13:45 (1:45 pm).

Top Museum of the World: Acropolis Museum

Designed by renowned Swiss architect Bernard Tschumi and notable Greek architect Michalis Photiadis, the Acropolis Museum captivates guests on approach. Its seamless modern lines elegantly incorporate artefacts exclusively from the Acropolis, and excavations are also visible under glass floors and walkways. The marbled surviving treasures are impressively displayed with the use of natural light, situated on a modernist open layout. Panoramic views top the experience.

The tour ends at the Acropolis Museum at approximately 15:00 hours (3 pm).

Please note that from September 1st to October 15th (afternoon), the tour will be operated in reverse: First you will visit the Acropolis museum and then the Acropolis hill.

Please note: This tour does not include hotel pick up and drop off service. This means that you will have to arrange your own transfers to reach the designated meeting point and start the tour. Meeting point: Fresko Yogurt Bar Acropoli. Our staff, holding an orange sign, will be waiting for you at "Fresko Yogurt Bar Acropoli" located at 3, Dionyssiou Areopagitou st, which is at the beginning of the pedestrian walkway that takes you from Hadrian's Arch, Siggrou av (also written as Syngrou), to the Acropolis. Please be at the meeting point 15 minutes prior to tour departure time.
