About this activity

Experience Kenya's most iconic wildlife across two premier national parks in five days. This safari combines Amboseli's elephant herds and Kilimanjaro vistas with Tsavo West's remote wilderness, diverse habitats, and unique underwater hippo encounters at Mzima Springs.

Enjoy spectacular Amboseli National Park. Romantically situated in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is famous for its tremendous variety of big game. Enjoy the sights and sounds of big game country on an afternoon game-drive and if we’re lucky we shall get a view of Mount Kilimanjaro often unclouded in the early morning sky.

Awaiting us at our next stop is a sheltered oasis Tsavo National Park, with special attractions including Mzima Springs & underwater hippo watching, Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary among others. Tsavo National Park is unique and its habitat include open plains alternating with Savannah bush and semi desert scrub, acacia woodlands; rocky ridges and outcrops and more extensive ranges and isolated hills; belts of riverine vegetation; palm thickets and mountain forest.  An Ideal Safari for families with children,  Honeymooners, Couples,  Singles and also seniors.

Highlights

  • Big Five wildlife viewing in Amboseli with Mount Kilimanjaro backdrop
  • Underwater hippo observation at Mzima Springs in Tsavo West
  • Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary dedicated conservation experience
  • Varied ecosystems: open plains, acacia woodlands, riverine forests, and semi-desert scrub
  • Afternoon and early-morning game drives for optimal wildlife sightings

Insider tips

  • Early morning drives offer clearest Kilimanjaro views and most active wildlife; bring layers as temperatures drop before dawn
  • Mzima Springs is best visited mid-morning when underwater visibility peaks and hippos are most active
  • Tsavo West's remoteness means fewer crowds than Amboseli—ideal for photography and solitude seekers
  • The rainy season (April–May, November) brings lush vegetation and more bird species, though roads can be challenging

Good to know

  • 5-day duration includes travel days; confirm exact itinerary for game drive frequency and lodge accommodation details
