Best SellerOurika Valley Full-Day Trip
A small corner of paradise in the heart of Atlas Montains...

Escape the tourist trail with a full-day immersion into the unspoiled Zat Valley, a fertile region south of Marrakesh where Berber traditions and craftsmanship remain authentic. Visit a weekly rural market, explore traditional pottery production in Talataste village, meet schoolchildren at the British Moroccan Society centre, and share a home-cooked Berber meal with a local family.
This is an excursion to the scenic and magnificent Zat valley from Marrakech, which despite its spectacular scenes and cultural richness, has not been discovered by mass tourism yet.
Drive along the Tichka road until you reach the lush green valley of Oued Zat and the rural market of Tighadouine (Wednesday market). This is the meeting point for the inhabitants of the valley (once a week) to exchange their goods and produce.
Our guide will walk us through the authentic village of Talataste to meet the locals and especially the artisans in order to discover the ancient local pottery which is the main income for this community.
We will be met at the British Moroccan Society Educational Centre to learn about this project and meet with the children.
We will then be invited to a local home for a typical Berber lunch.
Our guide will take us for a walk through the village where finally we will reunite with our driver and head back to Marrakech
Visit on a Wednesday to coincide with Tighadouine market day for the most authentic and vibrant experience. Early morning departures (typically 7–8 am) allow you to explore before midday heat peaks.
