Things to Do in Marbella

Marbella's Old Town (Casco Antiguo) was built by the Moors in the 11th century and still features narrow whitewashed streets and a mosque-turned-church from that era.

The city transformed from a quiet fishing village of 5,000 people in the 1950s into a global luxury destination, largely due to developer Ricardo Soriano's vision and the opening of Puerto Banús in 1970.

Marbella's Golden Mile (Milla de Oro) stretches between the city centre and Puerto Banús and is lined with some of Europe's most expensive beachfront villas and resorts.

The city enjoys around 320 days of sunshine per year, making it one of Spain's sunniest coastal destinations.
