Things to Do in Tangier

Tangier is the northernmost city in Morocco, separated from Spain by only 14 kilometres across the Strait of Gibraltar, making it one of Africa's closest points to Europe.

The city was an international zone jointly administered by France, Spain, and Britain from 1923 to 1956, giving it a uniquely cosmopolitan architecture and multicultural heritage unlike anywhere else in Morocco.

Tangier's medina (old town) features the Kasbah Museum housed in the former Sultan's palace, containing artifacts spanning from Phoenician times through the modern era.
