Our Vatican Tour meets: 1.45pm "at the bottom of the Stairs" of Via Tunisi, opposite the entrance of the Vatican Museum and next to Hotel Alimandi. Look for your guide holding a BLUE FOLDER and ask for MAXIMUS TOURS.

It's very important that you have a tourist map with you with the street name in case you need to ask for directions. (We DO NOT meet on the steps of the Vatican Museums entrance)
As most visitors to Rome are in unfamiliar territory, it is very important that you allow yourselves ample if not extra time to reach the meeting point. Rome can be an unpredictable place regarding transport strikes or the Roman Traffic in general.
Out of respect for other people taking part in the group tour we aim to depart promptly at 2.00pm.
  • We regret that fees are non-refundable if you arrive late or miss the tour.
  • As other groups may be meeting in the same place please look for the Guide with a Blue Folder and ask for Maximus Tours.
There may be other groups using a Blue Folder leaving at the same time, please make sure you go with the correct guide.

The fact that we could skip all the waiting queues was just so refreshing! Altough I'm not a religious person myself,I loved St. Peter's Basilica! I was just looking at it filled with wonder and admiration! Luckily for us, the day was just perfect for exploring!

Excellent choice

The best time for a visit is early afternoon. We had a really great guide who showed us all the major exhibits and saved us a lot of time. The Sistine chapel is actually one of my favorite places in the complex. You'll get a neck crick for sure. Valuable and exquisite artifacts and the majestic St Peter's Basilica to complete the tour. Let all others wait in line!!!
