Athens is the capital city of Greece and it has so many things to see and discover. Athens was from the ancient times one of the most important cities in Greece, the center of evolution and democracy. This tour gives you the chance to see some of the most important ancient monuments of Greece and have a glimpse of Greeks' culture and history.
Our first stop is at the National Archaeological Museum, which is the largest museum in Greece and one of the world's greatest museums. It houses some of the most important artifacts from a variety of archaeological locations around Greece from prehistory to late antiquity. It is considered as one of the greatest museums in the world and contains the richest collection of artifacts from Greek antiquity worldwide
Next, we will visit Panathenaic Stadium (or Kalimarmaro), the marble stadium where were held the first Olympic games of the modern era. It was built by the Athenian statesman Lykourgos (Lycurgus) in 330 BC, primarily for the Panathenaic Games. It was rebuilt in marble by Herodes Atticus, an Athenian Roman senator, by 144 AD. It is a real gem of Athens that embodies the minimalism and the culture of the ancient Greeks.
Our last stop is at Acropolis via Dionysiou Areopagitou street. We are discovering the secrets of the Acropolis, which make it stand as the most important monument of the whole world. It is an emblematic place for Athens and for the whole Greece.
