The Museum of Contemporary Art of Niterói (MAC) is a Brazilian contemporary art museum located in the city of Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The work was inaugurated on September 2, 1996. Designed by the architect Oscar Niemeyer, the MAC became one of the postcards of Niterói. It is mainly intended for works belonging to contemporary Brazilian art from the 1950s until today. The museum has a collection of 1,217 works from the João Sattamini Collection.  A collection assembled since the 1950s by the collector João Sattamini, constituting the second largest collection of contemporary art in Brazil.
Icaraí Beach is a beach located in the district of Icaraí, in the municipality of Niterói, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is the most famous beach in the city. It is located in Guanabara Bay. It usually hosts public events, such as the traditional New Year fireworks show. It includes two rock formations that are symbols of the city: the Stone of Itapuca and the Pedra do Índio, as well as two important art-style buildings décor: the Cinema Icaraí and the Rectory of the Fluminense Federal University.
The São Francisco Beach is approximately 750 meters long with many grasses and almond trees, it has calm waters and its sand is fine and white. The San Francisco Beach is located in a residential neighborhood and its boardwalk is very frequented for walks, walks, cycling and with its calm waters is ideal for practicing water sports such as sailing. The Jurujuba Beach is about 300m long and is located approximately 12km away from the center of Niterói, just after the beach of Charitas. Its border includes a narrow sidewalk, quite wooded, mainly with almond trees and some ipês. With a quiet and dark sea, the beach is known mainly for being the seat of a famous fishing colony, and for housing good restaurants specializing in seafood. There is usually lunch option in the neighborhood.
The Fortress of Santa Cruz da Barra has its origin in 1555, with the installation of two cannons in a rudimentary fortification, by Nicolau Durand de Villegaignon. Located at the tip of the rocky promontory that dominates, by the East, the entrance of the bar of the bay of Guanabara , was intended to provide security against invaders and ensure better conditions for the establishment of Antarctic France. After the expulsion of the French from Rio de Janeiro in 1567, and during the period when Brazil was a colony of Portugal, it received the denominations of Battery of Our Lady of Guide and, later, Fortress of Santa Cruz da Barra (1612), constituting an integral part of the system of defense of the entrance of the bay of Guanabara.
