Enjoy a 5-hour return guided tour over the Remutaka Ranges to the Wairarapa region, home of some world-class culinary producers. The Wairarapa is an hour's drive northeast of Wellington over the spectacular Remutaka Ranges. The drive includes a sightseeing stop at the 555m high Summit for amazing views.
The first foodie stop on the other side of the mountain range is at C'est Cheese factory and cafe where the tour will include a tasting platter of locally made cheeses. Next, we continue up State Highway 2 to Greytown for a tasting of some of chocolatier Murray Langham's amazing chocolate range at Schoc Chocolates. Our third stop is in the world-class wine region of Martinborough famous for its pinot noir. Enjoy a tasting flight at one of the finest local wineries.
The final stop is at the Martinborough Memorial Square in the center of town and allows for guests to tailor the tour for their own tastes. Guests may choose one final tasting stop from Olivo extra virgin and infused olive oils, Martinborough craft brewery paddles, a local vineyard or cafe lunch, The Martinborough Sweet Shop, or the Wine Bank. This final stop is seasonal, subject to availability, and at the guest's expense.
The tour then returns via the Remutaka Incline back to Wellington city center.
The tours departs daily from the Wellington i-SITE Tour Pick Up Zone (opposite Amora Hotel on Wakefield Street).

The final stop is in the Martinborough Memorial Square in the centre of the township. Guests may choose one additional activity of their liking from craft brewery tasting paddles, extra virgin and infused olive oil tasting, a vineyard or cafe lunch or visits to the local foodie spots at The Wine Bank or Martinborough Sweet Shop.
This additional stop is at the guests expense and the activities are seasonal and subject to availability.
The tour returns to Wellington with a drop off at the Wellington i-SITE Tour Pick Up Zone.
Tasting fees are included at C'est Cheese (cheese), Schoc Chocolates (chocolate) and at the winery in Martinborough (wine).
The tour includes a complimentary pick up and drop off service from centrally located Wellington hotels, the cruise terminal and Wellington i-SITE Tour Pick Up Zone.
The tour includes a fully licensed local guide and private car or mini-van transportation for the duration of the tour.
A driver's license or passport as ID.
Guests should bring ID as the drinking age in New Zealand is 18 years and over and guests may need to produce ID to consume alcohol.
