The horseback riding tour in Cusco is a family-friendly half-day tour.
On this guided tour, you will see what Cusco has to offer and you will be able to appreciate the Andean-style towns, which still maintain their customs. We will visit archaeological sites and Inca remains. Horseback riding tour is similar to the Cusco City Tour but on a horseback.
You are going to admire the life on the outskirts of Cusco city. You will be rewarded with enchanting views along the way.
On this horseback riding tour, you will also see views of mountains in the sacred valley region. Also part of the old Inca trail to Pucamarca and Huchuy Qosqo.
Furthermore, we will also be visiting Puca Pucara, Tambomachay, Qenqo, and Sacsayhuaman.
After picking you up from your hotel we will drive to the archaeological complex of Q’enqo. Our Horseback riding tour begins at Q’enqo. Our local English speaking guide will share some insights about this archaeological site.
You will then be jumping on the horseback while the muleteer will be assisting you. We will be going to Puca Pucara. Puca Pucara was more like a watchtower for Incas. Here you will have a guided tour.
Our next stop will be in Tambomachay. Tamomachay is home to “El Baño de Incas” or the Inca Baths. It is believed that Tambomachay served as a spa resort to the elites during Inca civilization. Our local expert would walk you around the complex and will give you a detailed tour.
Finally, we will be visiting Sacsayhuaman. Sacsayhuaman is an Incan citadel built on a hilltop overlooking Cusco city. It is a massive archaeological complex that demonstrates the stonework of Incas. Here you will have a complete guided tour. After the tour, we will be leaving the horses behind and walk down to the main square of Cusco through a scenic and typical path.
