This dinner will give you the chance to meet the Greek food culture and the hospitality of Greeks.
The first course is a welcome appetizer , which is a greek aperitif accompanied by bites of typical Greek flavors. It is a custom of Greeks to treat their guests before they continue to dinner as a warm greeting gesture.
Next comes the first course which is a traditional pie with spinach and cheese. It is called "Grand Mother's pie" and its unique taste comes from the phyllo pastry (secret recipe).
We continue with an aubergine salad with fine choped smoked aubergine with baked Thracian garlic, a Greek product that boosts the taste and makes it special.
The third course is stuffed vegetables and specifically , stuffed zucchini served with velvet egg-lemon sauce, a commonly used sauce in traditional Greek dishes.
Next you will taste the traditional and famous Greek salad but in our version and get to know how the Greeks like to accompany their food.
One favorite recipe comes after that ; soutzoukakia , which are traditional meat balls slow cooked in wine and fresh tomato sauce with Eastern Mediterranean herbs. Also there will be Greek styled roasted potatoes in the oven with lemon from Sparta, rosemary, thyme,oregano and natural Greek olive oil.
Of course after all these dishes comes the best dessert; Kaimaki ice cream flavored with the worlwide famous mastic of Chios island and sweet sour cherries. It is a very unique traditional dessert that if you try it once, you will never change its taste. There will also be the excellent and famous Greek yoghurt with nuts and Greek natural honey.
This dinner will also give you the chance to taste the excellent Greek wines made from grapes produced here in Greece!
