Follow your professional expert guide on a guided walk in the historic center of Venice departing from the most famous square in the city: San Marco. You can admire the marvelous Golden Cathedral and what the Venetians amicably call the "landlord", the very high bell tower that stands on the square becoming one of the symbols of Italy.
You will then arrive at the prestigious Teatro la Fenice, the main opera house in Venice. Built at the end of the 18th century after being destroyed and rebuilt twice due to two huge fires, it has reached its present form while maintaining the organization of the rooms as it was originally.
It has seen numerous conductors and world-renowned artists such as Luciano Pavarotti, Maria Callas, Claudio Abbado, and many others pass by. Today it has become a world-famous theater and offers the greatest musical performances and more.
Then continue towards Palazzo Contarini della Scala del Bovolo, a Gothic palace built between the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, which became famous for its arches and the external spiral staircase. The building has two completely opposite style facades. One more linear and elegant, and the other studded with arches and loggias which finds its greatest expression in the famous scalar tower that encloses the spiral staircase. The tower is called "bovolo" in dialect, it is from here that the name of the building derives.
You will then move on to observe the Rialto Bridge, the oldest bridge built to cross the Grand Canal. The Rialto summarizes the entire history of the antiquity of Venice and has witnessed for centuries many traditions, the Carnival, parties, and games that still take place near the bridge.
You will then return to Piazza San Marco where the tour will end.
